Knowledge gains being made for treating any neurological disease are akin to solving pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle. At the NCRI, we want patients, family members, and clinicians to be well-informed about neurocognitive diseases and in particular, those that are uncommon or not well understood. Sufficient knowledge and awareness is essential for people to find ways of managing their health and for loved ones in managing the burden of the disease. Collectively, patient communities may utilize resources to develop capacities for advocacy efforts that would seek to improve research funding and remove barriers to treatments for improving the lives and well-being. One of the NCRI goals is to disseminate knowledge, implement better intervention and prevention methods, and describe the latest available treatment and rehabilitation options.
Coming soon in this section, you will find information, terminology and resources regarding the various aspects of different neurocognitive diseases.
